The seat also doesen't allow for the clamp to work. This is a 8.6 mooching rod that I love to catch salmon on. Any suggestions an how toget the reel to fit..........

They make another clamp that is smaller to fit into the smaller reel seats some of the lighter rods have. Just give them a call, and tell themyour problem. They will take care of it for you. 877-487-4476
