Was the spectra free? CharkBait has them now with N/C spectra. I'm not sure if shipping is free though but that is less than spectra by a lot!

Re: Picture of size diff.?

No, $50 extra, with free shipping. I checked CharkBait, still have them listed at retail prices. Are they $319 for n and $359 for wide with free spectra at Charkbait and they didn't change it on their web site?
No big deal if it is. I liked dealing with Eddie. Helped me with a lot of good info.

Re: Picture of size diff.?

Charkbait has them listed on their "weekly specials" page Weekly Specials at the discounted prices- 319.99 and 349.99 for the Narrow and Wide. Don't see where they are offering free spectra or reel skin on them at the closeout prices though. I think their TRX's are the ones that comes with 500yds of 80 or 130# spectra, reel skin, and shipping for free.
Cabbagekey and charkbait are both good shops. I've had good dealings with both.

Re: Picture of size diff.?

Prefect, thanks. The 4/0 will give me more differant fishing options then the LX would of with the type of fishing I do. Next Avet will be either green or blue.

Re: Picture of size diff.?

I like the JX size but I'm not a big fan of the LX. It's a little wide for the lb test I fish on mine.

Re: Picture of size diff.?

BTW, the small reel is a JX not my LX.

My MXL is my favorite Avet closely followed by my JX's. I still don't know if I'll like my LX but that's because it's not blue and the handle is on the wrong side. Never liked wide reels much either.

Sorry, I misread it. The mono is free when you add the spectra. Cabbage Key might still be cheaper.

Re: Picture of size diff.?

One of the reasons I buy from Charkbait is I like Mark and his crew. I'd buy it from the place you feel comfortable dealing with unless the price is drastically different.
