Re: Avet Contest!

Jason,

Is this how to do this?

Cliff

Texans invaded Venice LA the weekend of January 13--14, 2007. Six of us aboard Captain Eddie Burger's Tuna Loco for some Yellow Fin Fishing on the Lump. 4 Newbies and 2 of us experienced.

My buddie Brad caught his first and only Tuna on my Avet Pro 50 SDS. Rigged with Jerry Brown 130 / 80# top shot and a 100# Flurocarbon leader. Took him about an hour using a Braid Brute Buster Harness and Belt.

Other Yellow Fins included: Bill's 139# and my 107# plus 8 others averaging about 60 lbs.

Two nice Wahoo---29# and 66# with some big amber jacks and a 260 lb. hammerhead (released).

The Avet Pro 50 SDS caught over half the nice fish we boated in two days. Brad's comment on my Avet compared ot the Shimono 30's and 50's on the boat was, "This is one fine piece of machinery and if I was to invest beyond my bay water gear it would have to be an Avet like this. This truly got the job done".

I was hoping to break that 150# mark myself but what a great day to have freinds catch great fish on my Avet Pro 50 SDS.

Hope the contest continues.
