If I could understand why my comment prompted your little outburst, I might be offended...

Never let your physical shortcomings cause you to be offended. Shit I was born with one leg shorter than the others.

I bought a Penn International 130W and it doesn't seat on my 4-8 lb trout rod.

Penn fucked me.

Re: Avet let's me down again!!!!

I have most sizes from SX to EXW 50/2 and I have fished them hard for the past two years without any major problems. The times I had a few minor problems, Harry and Sarkis were able to fix it within one day......nothing but great customer service for me. Next time, ask to speak with Harry or Sarkis.

BTW, if you get custom wrapped rods (done by someone who has a clue), you will never have a problem match reel seat w/ reel.

Re: Avet let's me down again!!!!

They come with that size foot... That is how they come... If I don't like that foot, I can pay $20, order the bigger model, and Squidco will put it on for me "Free"... As far as AVET's customer service... Top notch... The only time I've ever heard of anyone having a problem with it is when they have "unrealistic expectations"... The, "I want what I want, the way I want it, and I want it for free right now..." syndrome...

Same here. I have 12 and no major problems. I have had to get some new bearings as they had issues with them. I called Avet and they were very friendly and sent me new ones.

Re: Avet let's me down again!!!!

looks like the thread starter is no where to be seen. Funny how some people get so distraught and offensive when it comes to Avet. They say how they have lots of problems, breaking, weak drags, whatever the excuse that comes to their mind. :bablefish

Its also funny that if you talk to any long range crew or captain (the non-biased ones) they will tell you the reels are great and are some of the best quality reels on the market especially at the price tag. Funny how the LR crew will tell you how shimano has lots of problems with their trinis and toriums, how when people walk on the boat with their new torsas and their trinis they laugh when the the dogs break and their clients are surprised after spending over 400 dollars on a product made in a country they have never heard of...

Fuck you guys! Avet makes great gear, I have never had any problems with any of mine and have used the crap out of them. Yes, once in a while there will be some manufacturing error, but this is evident with all companies in manufacturing.

Thread jacked!!!
