Avet Service

To be short, I got my new 30N. I found it had a small blemish on the spool in the anodizing. I called Avet on Monday and recieved my new spool about a half hour ago. They offered to do the work, I just did not want to send in the whole reel. I'm going to take it apart anyway to clean out any grease that might be in the spool bearings and to just check things out. I can't wait to loan this one to a friend. I get such great fish stories when I do.

Re: Avet Service

Should have gotten a blue 50 handle, to go on the 30N.

Re: Avet Service

Whatchu mean "Blue Handle?" Is the black part blue? I've got the spool swapped out and the grease removed from the spool bearings. I also pulled the shields on the spool bearings. Drag was left dry.

It spins for days.

The SX with the dimple is going back too. I offered to swap it out myself, I even offer to take a new handle or two instead of a new frame.

Pretty nice of me don't you think?

Re: Avet Service

But you NEED a 50 handle, on your 30, really a cheap thrill, up-grade, $15.00.

Re: Avet Service

Hey Rex.

I'm really dropping down in line for this reel.. Lately I'm think'n 80 hollow to 60 or 80lb Flouro. Long wire and big sharks are in the plans. Maybe I'll get another one for a 765M.

I can see the long handle for PV and that kind of stuff. Up here, I'm going small and light.

When I get spooled on 20lb on an SX with the fish straight down, I'll re-think things.
