Hello, peeps!

Hi, I'm Adam and I slay the fucking gilled the ones! I just bought a Avet MXL 4.5 ,at the Fred Hall Show in San Diego, for the sale price. Couldn't pass it up. I'm moving to Sacramento/Reno area just in time for the striper run! I just want to know if any one has used a MXL for fresh water fishing or I'm I the only idiot doing this? Its also doubling as my 30lb set for tuna/salmon. Can't wait to hear from the fellow slayers!

Welcome to the wonderful world of AVET...................NOW with that said, TRY to post this in that FRESHWATER FISHING or NORCAL thread and you might get some action. This is a AVET discussion thread and they won't be looking to meet you here. NOW post it right and go get some BLOOD on that reel.

OH I almost forgot WELCOME TO BLOODY DECKS

Re: Hello, peeps!

I feel that the MX is a bit on the large side for freshwater use. Last spring I got a SX and used it for Chinook and Mackinaw and it worked great.
