Re: Sooo how many of you stopped by the Avet booth in LB?

I got a MXL, single speed. Got it in Purple and when I got home, showed it to the wife and said it was for her. Worked perfectly. I'll have to use it again on the Pro 30n that I still want. Fishing in PV is putting that and a lot of other things on hold.

I got one of the Diawa rods at the Big5 booth for it.

After getting the reel, I hit the AVET booth AGAIN after buying 3 shirts already. I asked Rick if 7 AVETS in a year was worth a free shirt. I think he gave me the shirt just to get me to go away.

Looked at the MXL 2 speed everytime I walked by. Bought 2 shirts and 2 reels covers. Can't wait to get the MXL to put the cover on it. Great booth.

Their booth was very nice. They could handle numerous people due to the booth being shaped in a circle. I bought a tshirt at a great price and asked about getting shorter studs for my LX. I was told I did not need it, to just file my existing ones down.......odd because I thought they were going to have some available for those that asked? This was also on the first day of the show. Kind of left a bad taste in my mouth! Oh Well!!!!

I must have miss you at the booth. I brought alot of extra short screws for everybody who needed them. I will be at Del Mar if you are planning to go there. If not, email me you address and I'll ship them to you at no charge.

Re: Sooo how many of you stopped by the Avet booth in LB?

Yep, that short screw deal threw me off. I asked and got all three pair within a week. That was from posts on this board. Kind of a minor deal. Like I said, Rick even gave me a free shirt even if it was just to get me to go away.

I still need the AVET 2 speed. After "giving" the MX from the show to the wife, I still "Need" two of them. 'Prolly not going to happen this year, BUT!

It'll happen!

Great looking booth and very quick to answer questions. Picked up a shirt and an MXL.
