Pro 30 Manual

I just received my avet(left hand retrieve) and it looks and feels great, but it did not come with a manual.. I called avet and they said that they are in the printing stage of the new manual and told me to call in two weeks for the manual.. The only thing I don't like about the reel is the small reel foot, when I mount it on the rod I have to screw it down all the way down to the last thread it does hold and with the clamp on I don't think it is going anywhere, with some of the complaints I heard about the reel foot in the past I thought they would have fixed this problem( maybe the complaints where for other models) all they had to do was just make the foot a little longer, does anyone else with this reel have this problem? Maybe it is just me, I always had Tiagra's and never had this, well it will be awhile before I use this reel to see how it performs I'm on the east coast..Please feel free to respond because you guys have alot of solutions for other peoples problems..I am new here......

Avet is making new feet for the 30. Mine is in the mail. Call and tell them. Yes, this complaint is not new for all of Avet's models. It is a consistent bad mark on the line of reels. I've compared them with my other reels and Avets are the smallest. I hope they will get it right in the future.

Thank you, can you please let me know when you get it and tell me if you like it, then I will call avet and tell them to send me one...I want to make sure someone has this new foot so when I call avet they don't say they know nothing about this foot for the pro 30 depending on who I speak to from avet....

That new foot should be great. Im gunna be buying a 30 narrow and will definately need the new foot.

What size reel seat are you using. Most seats used are the Aftco ARS 2M or ARS 3M. The 30 fits fine on these seats. The larger Fuji all fits. Are you using a 4 size seat. Please email me back

i called avet and they said they were aware of the problem and they had modified the foot on the pro 30's and were sending me out 2. My friend had the same problem the foot was too short. Avet said that they made the new foot bigger but not longer I hope that fixes it.
