Avet LX freespool problems
I just received a new Avet LX 4.6:1 from Avet and I am having problems with the freespool. When I put the reel in free and spin the spool, the spool spins very well at first but the spool quickly slows down. It's as if the spool is braking. I know I can send it in to Avet and have it replaced but Im just curious what the problem could be?

What's the drag set at? Are you sure you are all the way back to the freespool position? If it's not either of those things, AVET's service has been great for those that have needed it.

I have the drag set loose and in free and it doesnt want to freespool like any of the other Avets I own. I find it really strange. The spool spins very well at first but it slows quickly. I have never seen this problem with any other Avets.

Matt, I told you it is a manufacturers defect. Happens occasionally. When we were messin' with it on Saturday I could feel that the problem was in assembly. Don't even mess with it, send it back to AVET, you know how they are.....their customer service is excellent! Trust me on this one. I should have taken it myself and just walked it in there for you.

I shipped 6 of Iannas reels on a tuesday for some minor issues. and we received them back on thursday , now thats customer service !!!!!!

That is quick! It only gets quicker if you walk them into Chatsworth yourself. Nice.

Well I think it helps that they sponser her , But I still think they are a bitchin manufacturer !!!!
