Avet Jx

Just picked up an Avet Jx 4:1 for Yellowtail and Albies and am considering going with spectra and flouro top shot, Any recommendation's??

I am thinking 50lb spectra with 25lb flouro top shot...

Also relining my Avet LX which currently has 40lb Ande..

Thinking 65lb spectra and 40lb flouro???

Any help appreciated

I just got the LX but I am putting it on my JiGSTICK I have 30# on it. BUT I agree on the 65/40 set-up. That is what I am going to put on the LX-2 speed for my 40lb bait stick, I put 50/30 on the MXL-2 speed and 20# on the MXL

I went 30/30 but mainly due to me having a spool of 30 spectra already. I figure the 30 breaks closer to 40 anyway and even if I tie a crappy knot that's 60%, I'm way over my drag setting anyway. That's including factoring in line drag through the water. For my Jx, I ran 80 under 40 just for the overkill.

JX is a 40# class reel for me. I have 80# spectra and 40# top shot(75yds).
