Question AVET MXL 6/4
Just picked up a new model fresh off the shelf. Thought it would make a killer setup for my young son - the 10 year old "Tuna Hawg" apprentice. Had the reel spooled with high visibilty spectra + high vis PLINE. Will add Flouro leader as appropriate.

Any one use these 2 speeds yet? Looking for feedback on the performance.

I love my two speed JX on the jig stick................ Yet to catch a fish on it tho...

I think he's gonna love it. I want one of those for my 20# set up to replace my single speed MXJ........... Some day.

I just got the LX I am putting it on my JiGSTICK I have 30# on it. I am going to put a 65/40 set-up on the LX-2 speed for my 40lb bait stick, I put 50/30 on the MXL-2 speed and 20# on the MXL

They take a little getting used to when it comes to casting but I LOVE them. Set the hook and SMOOTH STRONG drags do the rest.

well she just gave me her hand me downs , Tiagras , trinidads, pro gears and internationals , she is now sponsered by avet and has to use them exclusively .also is sponsered by seeker rods , ande line, and is on braid products Jr pro staff, She just got out of school so fishing is on for her and me for 2 1/2 months
