We have been using the Avets down here since i picked up 4 at the LB show...they are impressive reels so far...although the real testing will come this summer and fall...
So far we like the tough, smooth drag and the second free-spool live bait position...pretty killer idea for pulling larger live baits....they seem to fit the hands better than the shimano tiagras we switched over from...the handles are the best design we've seen yet...
We don't like the clicker engage switch it's pretty awkward so it's a good thing you rarely use it...but i'm talking to Rick about changing that....

i'll be in the area on the 16th of April headed north...if you guys are arranging something i would be stoked to be there to see the factory...any chance of making it for that weekend?
