Avet Question??

I must admit im not a big fan of Avet well there inshore line anyway.Due to there "geary" feeling. I havent seen the new sx raptor up close and I am very curious. Are they any better? I like nice smooth reels. I can deal with accurates "gear" feeling but its way too much on the Avte for me.

Any input would be great!

Simple solution buy Accurate. I happen to like Avets, and the new raptor series have gotten lots of good reviews. But you should always fish what you feel comfortable with. The new small Shimano two speeds have gotten lots of comments about feeling very smooth so maybe those are the reels for you.

On a recent 8 day trip, shimano was on board as a sponsor. I was able to fish my Avet JX side by side with the Talica 12.
Here are my observations.....
With drag settings identical, the Talica has less drag lever resistance and less handle load( internal resistance felt when simply turning the handle in gear)
The gears are way smoother on the Talica.
The drag is way smoother on the Talica.
The Talica puts out 40 lbs of drag!
