SX Raptor 6/4 on a 800m...whaddya think?

Been pondering putting a SX Raptor 6/4 on an 800m that I currently have an MXL on for 30# bait, plastics, etc. It looks to me like that Raptor would make a sweet 30# rig that holds just about as much line as the MXL. I'm not sure I see the need for an MXL type of reel if you had that Raptor in it's place?

Thoughts on that combo?

Got my Raptor on a custom GF 800H, 40lb, sick set-up. Killed the mini-yellowfin last week.
