where to get the avet magged?

I have been searching and all i could find really is instructions. I am not that savy when it comes to reels and it's for the wife's set. The last thing i want is an argument on the boat (consistently) about avoiding birds nest for her. I am looking for a place that can do it. Please help

Thanks for any input

I would check with Harry at Avet before I did anything. They might be able to convert it to the new MC cast control for not too much money. Also if it is a 1 speed they can convert it into a 2 speed. The new MC cast control is adjustable and it works very well. You might be better off just selling what you have and buying a new Avet with the MC cast control, that way you know it is going to work.

I'm not really that savvy on stuff like this. If I can see a video it would be easier. Or, if I can get guided on doing one, I could probably do the rest.

Magging an avet is really pretty easy. But if you want to find someone to do it for you..Dick at Purfeilds would be a good choice. Co-incidentally, he came to the factory today with 3 reels to fine tune for an upcoming trip..2 of the reels had his mags. He glues in a steel backer and you can add or subtract mags by simply sticking them to the backer plate.
If you want to go with the factory adjustable MC upgrade, it will require a new frame with the millwork in it to accept the mag assembly. We cant re machine exsisting frames to accept the MC assembly because it will breach the anodizing and expose too much bare aluminum and the corrosion nightmare will commence from the very 1st fishing trip.
