69R | Customer service is never a fluke, either you are good at it or your not. All it takes is one unpleasant experience with person, place, or thing and at least 10 people will hear about it. How often do people tell 10 others about the good service they received ?
I would call Avet back and deal with Harry directly. Get the girls name and let him know the damage she is causing. Maybe he can turn the stuation around.

This guys sounds like he just didn't tighten the handle nut and then Avet's famous female on the phone did the rest.
All I wanna know is when is the SX going up for bid?

I should have been more clear in my comment. I agree there is no excuse for poor customer service. I honestly think she does not know what the hell he was trying to order and thats where the problem came in. I mean they only make a few models and in a single line. Its not that compicated. However AVET is at fault for allowing that type of cancer to eat away at a very descent company that makes a great product. I say slap the bitch,,,but of course i have never dealt with her my self and never had a direct problem so i guess i really cant judge her and her skills.
I was talking in the above comment more along the lines of the part falling off period. I believe that it may hve been a fluke for the knut to come completly loos, so much so that it went to davey jones locker. I believe in reel maintenance and constant adjustments to get it just right and think this may have been a case of overlooking a very simple problem.
I have had Bearings and caps on both penns and shimanos and other reels come completly off just because i did not check them and over time with the addition of cleaning and oiling they come so loose that they fall off. This was my fault and not the fault of the manufacturer. They also may come very loose from the factory. In my past expierience its a good idea to take the reel out of the box and take it apart on the first day. You might be thinking,,,WHAT,,john your crazy right? Well maybe not because on more than 10 accations i have found that the reels where not lubed to my strict standards, at the factory. I also take this time to make sure everything looks right, like that all nuts and bolts ETC are good and tight draggs look good. Sounds like alot of work for something so new i know but i would really hate myself if i was pinned to a 40-50 pound bluefin and have my draggs get fried or worse yet not be able to lock her in to gear.
In my serious opinion if your front lines smells funny then the whole back end stinks. Phone service is very important. I hope AVET fixes this problem.
