Avet MXL and Calstar
Just bought my first avet (MXL). It should be here in a few days and I am salivating. I have a 8' Calstar Jig Stick. Not sure of the model, but I just want to toss iron and bait. I bought the rod used a few months ago. It has no markings, as the person I bought it off of on craigslist said it was custom. Will the avet be the right setup for this rod? Any recommended pairing?

It's probably a GFDH 800M, if so, it's rated 20-50#, and it should work fine for 30# line.
