New to offshore fishing

I am wanting to purchase a few Avet reels. They will be used in Magdalena Bay in Mexico, and in the nothern waters for Hailbit. I am looking for suggestions on size of the reels I will need to get.

here's a general guideline:

sx: 15-25#
MXJ/MXL : 20-25#
JX: 30#
LX: 30-40#
HX: 40-50#
30: 50-80#
50: 80-130#
80: 100-200#

I live in N. California, and my Avet Sx has been the perfect halibut reel. I greased the drags because of all the head shakes the butts do when hooked. No the drags are nice and smooth. I have fished up to 40lb line on this reel. It has worked really well for most bay area applications, and has plenty of line capacity when using spectra. Don't know what you plan on using it for down south, but it is an awesome 15-30lb reel.

The MXJ can handle 30..

JX can do 30-40
LX can do 40-50
HX can do 50-60
30 can do 80-100
50 can do the 100-200

If you fish hollow spectra load 60lb hollow on everything HX and smaller.

My 50 SDS have 100 and 130 hollow spectra respectively and my 50W has 200. It can matter too on your hand size, if you can palm the 50W with ease the 80 might work for you. I have small hands, the 80 wobbles side to side when cranking so I chose to go with the 50W especially since it can hold 750Yards of 200lb hollow.

80 if you are doing some heavy shark/bill fishing...
