Fishing the west end of the island in windy conditions this seabass hit a green back mackrel in 70ft of water.This fish made some great runs,I thought we had hooked anouther seal at first.After a few minutes it was clear I had a nice fish on.The avet was smooth as silk.From 300lb tuna and 800lb Marlin to 40lb seabass and halibut the avets never let me down.
reel : MXJ ! my vote here for performance and accomplishment, then of course that little gal in pink for accomplishment at that age.
Here is a photo of my Son who caught 4- 30lber Giant Squid with an Avet 4/02W...Thank god we decided to use the 100lb gear. Because those squid kicked our ass's.

Ok, this was by far the toughest one since I've taken over the job of running this contest... But, with no further delay I'd like to announce the winner as MTNBOATER and his daughter's pig of a ling.
