which rod?

hey guys i'm thinking of changing my 30# rod.
the rod is an all around rod jigs bait dropback whatever

i have a seeker classic 670-7 im thinking calstar graphiter 700l or 700ml
i have a 765xl for 40#

I use either a ML or a e-glass 870. The 870 has a little better feel, but the ML pulls harder.

800m or 270H-8 or if you want a 30# bait/40# iron rod get a 690J and cut 3 off the tip and 3 off the butt

Good call. Given the other upgrades you're looking to do that rod should not be on your short list to swap out. That's why I still have mine too.
