I wanna go first

Helloo everyone, This Ahmad from Kuwait

I am a member here and I usually post in "Anywhere fishing reports thread." This is my first participation on this contest, I don't know so much about it, but I have been watching this contest thread for quite awhile and here I am just giving it a shot. Hope you guys like it.
The fish was caught in Kuwait last week on saturaday may 9th 2009.
It's called ''Thel'a" in kuwaiti slang and in english means a rib
Caught it with Pro EXW 30/2
as shown.

Weather was good I got 2 baracudas and this one, I was specifically in south of kuwait 30 miles away from saudi boarder. my speed was about 3-4 notes.
My stick is "penn tuna stick 30-80 lb" line: suffix 60'' yellow. lure used: strom deep diver pink

I also want to attach the baracuda pic

Here it is:Click the image to open in full size.

and this is the baracuda,, I pulled it 10 minutes before that one:

I heard from an employee at anglers center that there was local yellowtail off main beach so i call my uncle up and told him that they were around locally. He towed his boat out from lake elsinore the next morning at four and picked me up and we launch at my grandmas dock which is 3/4 the way out of the harbor. we had quick ride to the bait barge for a scoop of dines and then we sabikied some mackerel at the bell buoy and then we were off towards laguna. It was like 5:45 when we saw some threshers whacking there tails, so we tried for a little but had no luck. we decided to keep going cause we wanted to get to the yellows but we saw some more threshers and couldn't resist trying again. I pin on a nice mack and toss it out the and i start to reel it back in and this thresher charges at my bait and its fish on!!!!!!! This thing starts ripping out drag and has me full bendo with this 8'6 rod. well anyways 45 minutes later and about 25 times around the boat i got it in. My arms and my back were wrecked after this fight. It weighed 70lbs on my digital scale. We didnt get any yellows but it was a really fun local trip.

It's moments like this that make your hard work and dedication to the sport pay off. Oh yeah nothing like having something at the other end of the line that can pull some SMOOTH drag from your AVET!

I'm stupid....

For not having my buddy take a pic of my rod/reel with this shark this year. I've caught a few threshers on small avets to date...this one was on an LX single speed (can be seen in my rocket launchers, but crappy shot)...oh well, maybe next year.

These are the only two pics I have I think the pic of the Avet combo bent over is a pretty cool pic. This is what I have though....I posted them anyways because I saw in the contest rules that "We may revise the rules as we go." If they are disqualified that is o.k its always nice to post pics of a great time.....I still cant get that trip out of my head dorado everywhere roosters combing the shore it was a fantastic get away...sitting here in my cubicle is like being in prison! Fishing such rich, beautifull calm waters will spoil you that's for sure!!
