Avet Reels for Carribean Sailboat Trip

I'm helping a friend who barefoot charters a sailboat twice a year in the Carribbean and is a relative novice to Saltwater Fishing. He says the vast majority of the fish they have caught is trolling. He wants two setups to troll. So far the biggest thing they have hooked up on is a 45lb sailfish. Consideration needs to be given to the time it takes to stop the boat by himself and then handle the rod he's hooked up on.

Additionally, he is looking at Tsunami rods. Anyone know if these are quality or not?

Thanks, in advance for any help you can give.
