sx? what rod?

I currently have an MXL 6.3:1 on a Calstar 800M. It is custom wrapped with red white and blue. I am looking to get an SX and custom wrap a rod for it. My question is what rod. Would like to stay with a Calstar. I use the MXL/800M as a jig stick. Help me out.

Wrap the rod in maybe Black and gold and have the reel done to match... Or Black and Orange if you want something that will really pop and look as good as it fishes.... Then load with the Tangerine Braid....

I want to keep the red white and blue theme. Thinking of a red/blue reel or a blue/charcoal reel. My buddy has a blue sx so I just need to get the other one.

I just recently put together an avet sx and a custom wrapped calstar gf800xl combo. was going to spin it with 20# mono but went with 50# power pro and a seagur 30# FC 25 yd. top shot.probably should have listened to the guy in the shop and put 50 yds on it.but there always next time.first time out with it I caught a 38# halibut.rod and reel performed beautifully.

Are all these rod Cork Tape or Fuji ones? For the 800XLH I can't find a cork tape for that one, or is it only fuji handle?

One more question, which one would be good for a Shimano Trinidad TN30?

I've seen the 800XLH w/seat. I don't recall seeing a cork tape version.

What line and purpose are you looking to use with the TN 30?
