We left Huntington harbor at 6 and made our way out to clemente on this beautiful 55 ft viking sportfisher. We got to the island at 8 and started with a slow pick of calicos and some bonies. Then we moved and anchored up on this boiler rock and caught some more calicos. Then i started throwing iron and a few cast later i was on. the fish wrapped me up in the anchor chain for about 5 minutes and the she was at the gaff. 15 lb yellowtail.

Wife, some friends and I fished the Coronado Islands on 7.12.08. There was a huge pod of dolphins working bait balls all day right off South island. My wife got a ripper bite and missed it. A little later in the morning she got another one and turned out to be a 13.3 lb bluefin. Her first, caught on an Avet SX with 25lb, her name is Ann Bushard.

Thank you

Last minute decision to jump on The Holiday for a quick 3.5 dayer over the weekend! Gear wasnt ready but went for it anyway. Fishing these bigger fish on just spectra & very short flouro topshot wasnt very fun, lets thank Avet for some quality drags! The Albie was a jackpot fish!

Just one of the albacore from my six day on the Intrepid. Caught July 8th in the "lower zone" off San Quintin. This one fell for my swim bait fished on the slide. Caught on my GUSA "wahoo" rod I built, and my Avet HX.

Setup: Avet SX, 50lb braid, Gusa custom SW70MH
Bait- Chartreuse Gulp Swimming minnow and sand eel

Invited to fish a fluke (summer flounder) tournament in NJ on my friends boat.
Wound placing 6th with this fish (final placing) out of 150+ boats.

Caught my personal best fluke on my favorite setup (out of 30+). My Avet SX/Custom GUSA combo.

Fished the Sandy hook reef in NJ to catch this fluke.
Avet/GUSA made short work of her.

Small compared to the Halibut you guys catch out west, but this is considered a very respectable fish out here on east coast.

Thank to my father for butchering the pictures.
