Avet Customer Service

As some of you know. I won an Auction for a 10ft Harnell Blank, the proceeds went to taking 37 Marines fishing last Friday..

What A Blast, I think Bob, Karl and I had more fun than the marines.

Anyway, This rod is being built by Randy Search, with a DocSki weave and several other things in a PATRIOTIC theme. The purpose of the Rod is to be shown at Fred Hall and Boat shows with a Donation Jar, FUNDING THE NEXT FISHING TRip..

My plan was to have Avet build a Red Silver Blue Reel for this Rod...I have all intentions of paying for it, Im not asking for a donation. After 5-6 Phone calls, I cant even get in touch with the person that I need to talk to on this. Its not like I have a full time job, wife, kids and nothing else to do.

To Avet:::When your Customer Services Reps advise your Customers to talk to a Specific Person At your company...It would be a good idea to not make it an act of congress to speak to that person. Or better yet...maybe get a name and number and return a phone call...WOW...

I hope your competitors are easier to do business with. If not, then I give up.

Either Harry or Sarkis should be at the factory during business hours. Either of them should feel honored that you would give them your business. Keep on trying and ask for them directly. I wouldn't doubt they would accomodate your every needs as they have mine.

There probobly fishing. Since they don't sell retail maybe going through a dealer might be better. Just a thought.

I highly doubt you are going to get a custom color reel out of them. They don't do custom...

Harry and Sarkis are two of the best people you will ever get a chance to know. Im sure that during the building process that there are a few blems and they do not have 300 left side plates,300 frames and 300 right side plates and they wiill have the extra frame parts and can eaisly put together a red, silver and blue reel for you. You just have to step back, take a breath and it will all come together. There is absolutely no problem with their customer service it ranks right up there with Shimanos with Accurate pulling up the rear. By the way a JX 6/3 looks awsome in the red, silver and blue. Good luck and good fishing!

Why don't you buy one of each color and put them together yourself. Then you will have 3 reels instead of one and you can put the other two reels up for auction on this web site and donate the poceeds to a good cause..either add the money to your tip jar for the fishing trip you are refering to, or give the money to a charity to help kids or something like that

And if you do something like this, and you don't feel comfortable taking the Avets apart, I'll do it for you. No strings attached.

Just something to think about...

See above.

These are VERY busy guys that aren't in the biz of doing cute, custom color reels.

Buy 2 make 1 sell other.

Problem solved.

Please don't bad mouth these guys over a request like this.

Call my office and tell my people you need to talk to me about a custom single t-shirt you'd like made.

It'll be more than 240 hours before I call back.

Sorry, but it's reality.

You guys can call me out all you want...

The first time I called, I was told to talk to a specific person...4-5 Calls later, I keep getting the run a around...

After explaining myself multiple times,,,I got fed up...

Its PRETTY FUCKING SIMPLE...TAKE A NAME AND NUMBER AND CALL ME BACK>..But this simple little statement does not exist.

I am sorry that I work 6-7 days a week. I am sorry that I work up to 20 hrs a day and do not have teh time or the energy to call back the 7th time...

I am in Sales. And If I ever treated one of my customers the way I have been treated, I would have to find another job in another industry to work in.

Ali,,,If what I am asking for is to much,,,then say MOVE ON. WE ARE NOT INTERESTED. QUIT WASTING MY TIME. This is not about a customer single color or T Shirt. I know this first hand. I spent 290 days submerged in a 365 day period. I know exactly what these guys have sacrificed for there country.

This is about supporting the people who put there ass on the line with out asking questions, people who miss the birth of their babies, first steps, b days, soccor games.

ITS HELL OF ALOT MORE...

Sorry that I take this personally, But I have put my money where my mouth is and 8.5 years of my life. I support those who protect the way we live.

I am sorry that my high expectations of a return phone call are to much to ask.

By the way, I had not checked this thread until I recieved PM's, emails and Voice Mails on it.

Think about this, is it to much to ask, to have a local company return a phone call to look into the feasibility of a Red/Silver and Blue reel...That I am willing to pay for....

Then that company would get the marketing of this for free...Be known to support the troops...

Personally, I would bend over backwords for that type of exposure.

Wonder how long it will take for this one to get deleted.

Why should I have to pay 2-3 times the cost, when they get the added marketing value of this?

I have no problem paying for a single reel with added costs for a custome color...

Why should I have the extra expense, while they get the added marketing/business for free.

Dude you are grumpy...

I have never heard of anybody getting so mad because a company will not drop what they are doing and take care of a special request. If you have a problem with a reel, I am sure that you are at the top of their priority list. If you want them to build you a custom reel to your specifications and you are hostile about the amount of time it takes for someone to get back to you about your special request, you are at the bottom of a priority list if even on the list at all.

If it were me and you had this attitude about my company, I would tell you that I don't want your business. I'm not speaking on behalf of Avet but I would tell you to get lost and if you want an Avet, here is a list of where you can buy them.

Take a deep breath. I'm sorry that things have not gone the way you want them to but damn. There are many good suggestions on the thread about what to do. Mine for instance, gives you what I think to be a very good suggestion to not only get what you want, but more than you were asking for. I am sure there is someone here that would be more than willing to buy a "patriotic" themed reel especially to help someone else out. If you take your attitude and check it at the door, you might be a little bit happier and understand that they are a growing business and your requests is NOT a priority, no matter how much you want it to be.

What part of 5-6 PHone calls....

One internet post that is the Avet Customer Support board is so difficult to understand...

NO ONE AT AVET HAS CONTACTED ME YET...We are not talking about 24 hrs here..

WE ARE TALKING ABOUT OVER 2 WEEKS..

Frankly its not worth my time...

I TRIED. I GIVE UP...

THE ROD WILL BE A PIECE OF ART WITHOUT A REEL ON IT..

I DID MY BEST TO HELP AVET GET INVOLVED...TO HELP THEM OUT...

ITS NOT WORTH MY TIME OR EFFORT ANY MORE...

IF MY MEMORY IS RIGHT X STAR, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO PMd me and got me involved again.

I HAD DROPPED IT,,,and I CAN DROP IT AGAIN.

I dont know what the Fishing Industy considers customer service, But 2 Weeks and 1 Internet post is not it.
