Just go off the R P on a 17 day trip.
Fish my Avets 50sds exclusive. Caught six tuna , with the biggest one being 331 lbs.
That fish was caught on the reel with the high speed gears (4:1). If I hadn't had that reel in that situation, I don't think I would have gotten him. Fish stayed on top most of the time, constantly making big runs at the boat. All I could to kept up with him, even with the 4;1 high
Can't say enough good thing about the reel, light, very well balanced, great free spool, and if cost is a factor, you definitely get your moneys worth.
