My last trip up there we took a old Italian fisherman friend up there. His name is Bruno, he did very well and caught this really nice snapper.

Re: Some of my best captures

This was a big bait i was saving to the steep point trip.
I balooned ot out and it got wolluped by somethin that was 15ft+ from what we seen. Must of been a tiger shark. I didnt stand a chance. It bit through a double of 120pound wire trace with ease.

Re: Some of my best captures

This is a pic of False entrance....Not far from steep point
Here is a pic of pretty much all the area you have to fish at False entrance.
Not much room and you can see how the rocks are.See how the swell is coming across? Its very hard to gaff here!

Here is a small cobia i got at false entrance when i was 15..

Did you eat that wrasse....we keep those in aquariums over here...they go for a pretty penny ($39-$69)...looks like a Thalassoma species (Australian Species are more rare/harder to get over here in the trade, and therefor cost more)...or commercially called a Lunar wrasse or Rainbow Wrasse...beautiful fish...how did it taste?

Fantastic pictures and by far one of the most different and awesome post/report. Thanks
