COOL COOL VIDEO...so what happens if a triple digit yellowfin comes up or something have any of you guys been spooled from that spot?

And curious where you targetting a sail that day? or was it dumb luck while fishing for mackerel or something?

Cheers

Yeah we have what we call the 5.00pm express. Literally every day around 5.00pm someone will hood the "freight train" It just heads west and there is no stopping it. The harder you put he brakes on it the harder it goes. best to cut the line because there is no hope of getting it in.

I take 3 spare spooles each time i go. Every time i have been i have been spooled by something massive. Usually a 15ft tigershark of massive cod. The cod is nicked names Jingles because of all the jewlrey (fishing line, lures and bits of coral) hanging from its mouth. Its the size of a vw!! Massive!!

Nah i wasnt targeting the sail. Mainly spanish mackeral. Just fluked it! There have been a few sails hooked off the cliff , even marlin but not to many landed

badass! i love catching awesome fish on accident! and what a feeling to have a fish spooling you when you are totally helpless. a few months ago i was trying to catch bait to set up on a troutline for catfish at night and actually hooked a cat unexpectedly and he spooled me so quick i started running in the lake after him...unfortunately he broke the line and you just have to wonder how big was he ...whens your next big outing? i cant get enough of this aussie fishing!
