Kiwi Grander Blue Marlin

just heard that a 483kg/1063lb Blue was weighed at Houhora, Far North, New Zealand yesterday making it the largest marlin to have been caught in NZ's waters - Boat was Harlequin skippered by Chris Ash.....the full details are yet to surface but apparently it was caught on an old skool Pakula Smoking Jo and wound in by a first time angler.

Congrats to all those involved...mean as!!

will update if any new details come to hand

What a catch. My question is, how do you get a fish that big in your boat?
