Vancouver Is. July

Fished out of Tahsis on the west side of Vancouver Is.
Really a gorgeous spot.
Remote and a long way from home.
Pulled the boat & camper up in June before the salmon were there & caught Halibut and rockfish.
The avatar is the view from my camper door.
Flew back up & my bro joined me July 15th-22nd (that's me with the "SHUT UP & FISH" shirt).
The salmon were there!



This in a one day canadian limit for the two of us.
The largest fish in the picture is 26#, they're fat.
Flying back to try for coho the last week of August , and taking the 13 yr old grandson with.
Then it'll be time to haul the whole enchilada back (1500 mi.).

Have fished Telegraph Cove area (North East corner) a couple of times in July for some nice fish but heard the fishing is much better for bigger fish on the Westside. Tahsis looks beautiful......good luck in August and be safe coming home!
