Febuary / March 2006
Weather over this period in Madeira was a little more unpredictable than usual, bringing several storms and some really windy, wet days, limiting our time on the water somewhat. However dry dock maintainance was completed in between this weather with no unexpected hiccups insuruing that both Lara Jade & Margarita are painted, serviced, varnished and looking great for the coming season.
While the wind and waves did their best to halt the fishing we still managed to get a good amout of Big Eye Tuna averaging 25lbs or so in the few spells of decent weather.
The end of March bought us a pleasant surprise, the first White Marlin of the season, on Lara jade, skippered by João Santos, with Angler Mr Holger, tagged and released, the Marlin weighed in at approx 55lbs.
