Salani resort wiped out

Salani Surf resort on the island of W. Samoa was literally wiped off the map. The owner, Chris Donato of south florida, was busy setting up a new charter business on another island. The resort did have guests but were warned by quick acting resort staff. They knew something was terribly wrong when after experiencing the huge quake saw the water recede exposing dry coral reef. The resort management was not only able to evac the guests but also helped to evac the nearby village of Salani. Had it not been for their help many women and children of that village would have perished. Pray for the people of Samoa and A. Samoa as the suffering there must be immense. T.R.

Yes some of the pics I saw on the net were of the resort and one of their boats both all smashed up.

My whole family is praying for the familys in the village. My son in law surfs there at least twice a year, last year they spent there aniversary there. My youngest grand daughter was named after the village Nia Salani Bever. I hope for the best for all of the people there. God bless.

That not good to hear about the resort but i am glad no one got hurt, and they were able to help natives of the island.
