Fishing Was Good! Okinawa Payao Style

Man it's been a Minute since I've been on here. Man I've been ninja as hell. Busy left and right with work and field exercises. Finally gotta to go fishing again. I've just been busy. We went out of Awase at like 0300 and came back at around 1600. I got bit trolling a zuker mexican flag. I wish I had wire because a big wahoo bit off the 130 lbs mono leader like it was cool. All my fish were caught on STAY Flat Side Butterfly jigs strictly made for drift fishing. No fish were bitting the west coast iron, strictly BUTTERFLY JIGS. Great day overall with a mix batch of Ono, Mahi, Yellowfin, BigEye, Katsuo, and Rainbow Runners. I'll be ready for the Marlin Next time. Thanks Joey at Squid Co for setting me straight before hitting the fishing grounds out here!

Also, the Marlin we hooked up on, yeah, scared the hell out of me. I'll make sure I'm not sleeping next time.

Wonderful Day! Wonderful View. Although not the premiere place, Okinawa is definetly up there for awesome fishing places (all just for 100 bucks)! We'll get the Marlin that got away (DAMN IT)!!!!

I went out with someone else because Chris was to packed. I was trying for Mahi but the Wahoo beat them to the punch on my jigs.

Great post allways wanted to fish out there. Was on Japan many times but never able to fish. My dad spent some time there but didnt have time to fish. He was a Pearl survivor in the Corp, saw a lot of different islands. Keep ypur lines tight.
