Last week on the “Rigel IV” - Day 1- 0-0, day 2- 1-1, day 3- 1-4, day four (1/2day) 1-1. No big fish, but everybody seems to be seeing fish everyday. Awaiting our boat the “Freespool” to be delivered. It’s a 39 Guthrie.

There were some good fish caught yesterday. The “Hedonist” caught one 920#, with John Phillips. The “Bocinegro” released a big one as well, with Tim Choate.

Capt. Brice continues: We finally took delivery of our boat the Freespool - 39 Guthrie on Wednesday and started fishing today (01 July) with the owner and his son. Raised 7 blues, hooked 4, caught 2.

Jon Phillips and Tim Choate fishing from the Atlantis caught 6. Everyone saw bunches of breaking marlin.

Ask him if he's seen my buddy Elias there yet. He usually fishes the coming week over the full moon.

Hiya Abe - Yes, Jason says Elias Rodriguez is there and catching BIG fish:

"I believe he (Elias) caught the 920# on the boat, Hedonist. Caught one 400, and pulled the hook(leader wrapped on the bill) on one 600+ yesterday. The day before caught 2- one was 500 and the about 350."

More from Capt. Brice:

"Friday - 03 July, we caught one 550# and raised another that would eat the mack pitch.

Saturday- 04 July, we caught 2 fo 3 bites. Nothing big enough for the world cup. 150# rat and one maybe 350#.

Sunday-05 July, we did not see a fish.

Monday-06 July, Saw 1 caught 1. 400#

Still fish being caught amongst the fleet. No big numbers the past few days."

Too many real legends out there, so I merged my handle into Marlinhunter2 - which is my real nickname.
