Got a late start Sunday morning. We headed about 25 miles off the beach. We showed up to the fishing grounds at about 8:45am. The boats that left early saw some fish in the area, but they headed eastward. We decided to work the area because the birds were working the area(signs of life). With no boats in sight we saw a small group of Blue Fins break the surface. We positioned our trolled baits in front of the fish several times as they broke the surface. Finally, after about two hours of chasing the fish we had a short rigger bite on a natural ballyhoo. Here are a few pictures. This fish weighed in at about 118lbs.
