Re: Need info, please help!

First see the thread "Alaska is no Folly". I just got back from fishing with Crackerjack Sport Fishing in Seward. I recommend going out with Andy to catch big halibut in May or June. Andy said this is the best time for catching the big butts because the salmon haven't started running and the hali's are feeding on candlefish and something else, can't remember, and the big un's are feeding more often.

It's a fabulous trip, have fun.

Re: Need info, please help!

I agree, Kingfisher Charters in Sitka is top notch. Not cheap but worth every penny for a trip of a life time. I have fished with them since 1999 and never been disapointed. The have a great web site at kingfishercharters.com I would also recommend their FREE tournament in early May. Lots of great prizes and all species are in, halibut, big lingcod, yellow eye and King Salmon all on the same days fishing. Might see you there next May, good luck but be careful who you settle on, there are some flakes up there that provide what they advertise. Fred
