| July Wrap up
I can't belive how fast this month has flown by....Several of our overnight trips were disrupted by crappy weather. We managed to pull off at least a day or two of great fishing on each one despite the powerful storms that seem to blow through right when the trips were scheduled.
King salmon fishing has been unreal this year and even in July when we usually see a transition from Kings to Silvers, the Kings stayed late ( caught 12 today) and now the Silvers and Kings are all over the North Gulf Coast.
Halibut fishing has been very good with mostly smaller chicken halibut (20 - 40 pounders), big lingcod and silvers on the day trips. Unlike June where big halibut are the norm, this July we still managed to catch many monster halibut on all the overnight trips and usually one or two a day on the combination trips this month.
I have not had a relief Captain this summer and have not missed a day of fishing for over a month, so all my photos have gotten mixed up. Here are a few that sum up what has been going on.

Andy, in the top photo, please box up the two rows of bait you have hung up and send them to PV for the marlinos and tunas. glad the season is going good. It will be no time and you guys will be heading south, bring the luck again this year. Take care and tell the gang Hello from me ok.

Andy,
No better way to hook and reel in us fishers than to post pics. I'll see you in about 3 weeks. Keep the butts and lingasaurs coming.

Yup, its been pretty damn good fishing, getting kinda tired, but feeling a second wind coming on. Fished "old school" today, me and Andy, limits of halibut and silvers, back at the dock by 4 p.m., With a very nice average I might say....Ayeeeeee
