Where to Fish... Last weekend of Sept

I am heading to anchorage for a business trip - at the end of september and I am thinking of adding a couple of days to check things out, do a little fishin' if it is not too late in the season.

I have been looking online, but not finding anything definative.

I have to be in Anchorage Monday night - so looking for something that is not too far of a drive, where I can get in a full day (sunday) and get back to where I need to get back to.

Any suggestions - is it too late in the season

Open to both fresh and saltwater options.

Mike

Mike,

Fish the upper Kenai - Trophy rainbows on a fly in the wildlife refuge with Fred Tallen of Mystic Waters Fishing. He is THE guy to fish the Kenai with.

Saltwater is sketchy that late in the season. I usually wrap things up in Seward by the middle of the month because the weather is so shitty we cancel more than we go.

Mike,
Try giving us a call a before you get here and we can give you a fish report. We are about 75 minutes north of Anchorage. We run half day or full day charters. Fisherman's Choice Charters.

Mike, if you have time drive down to Seward and fish with Millers landing. We had 3 great days with time. Sherrie is the boss and she will hook you up. Bobby out!
