Where's The Fish? Need Help - Suggestions for kid fishing spots

I am in Richmond BC for the next few days and was wondering if there were any places nearby that would be good to take two young fisherman (7 and 5)? Because of their ages, my preference would be to keep them on land, but I'm open to any suggestions that you may have. I don't really care what they catch, as long as they have a reasonable chance at success (short attention span).

Also, if there are any local tackle stores that I could visit I would appreciate any suggestions as I'm always looking for new gear.
