Very Important Information About Your Sportfishing Rights

If you have not seen these sites yet, or if it has been awhile, check them out. They are a grass roots movement and They are chock full of information about the struggle between charter and commercial fishermen. You will find news articles and information from both sides of the argument. They are updated frequently so check them out every so often for new content.

On the Don't Buy Halibut website on reasons for not buying halibut, I see no mention of IFQ's. The season may last from March to November, but it is not the derby fishing that the website makes it sound to be. Not that I fully support commercial fishing. Each area is different, in Homer a lot of guys go a little further into the gulf for their fish (which is fine by me)rather than right off the dock like quite a few people do in Cordova (which I don't agree with.)
