| Tuna off of Vancouver Island
I'm looking for info on fishing Albies off of Vancouver Island. My boat is set up for them but I have never fished for them before. There is a commercial tackle shop here mid island that sells clones etc. I have thought about heading down next year to Oregon on a charter to "learn the ropes" so to speak. Any info would be appreciated. My boat has a large fuel tank so I can spend some time looking for em. I know a couple of commercial guys but they are very secretive about the whole thing.

Comedown to Westport, WA and we will show you how to roll, EH. We got 33 yesterday. There is NO reason to be secretive about albie fishing and there are no secrets about it.

You could also take a flight to Southern California and fish for several types of Tuna's including Albie's. Several full day charter boats are doing very well at this time and you can easily get on these charter boats now that we are past labor day.

A bit of advice: Get Terrafin and look for 59 degree water with a chloro value less than one. ALso, make sure that you aren't looking at a pocket of warm water. Make sure it is connected all the way down to its origin per se.

Coastwatch is free, but you have to know how to manipulate the tool to know what you are looking at. Terrafin is only $99 a year and WELL WORTH IT! You can save that much in fuel in one trip by having it.

Coastwatch is a pain in the ass, 99 dollars is well worth it for Terrafin.
