Based on what data? If it splices better for you, or you prefer it then that's fine but I don't think there is any test data out there to support that statement. Jb has 40#, and 50# hollow niether is spliceable as the core is too small. I don't think anybody makes a 50# or under that is spliceable. The 60# and up is spliceable, and I have never had a problem splicing with it. I must admit I have never tried the Blackwater though, and probably won't due to the price difference. In my opinion it cannot be that much better to justify the price differential.
