One option is to remove the bad cork sections or all of it. Then get a cork grip with a slightly smaller,or same ID as the sections to be replaced. You may have to use several smaller grips to get the same length. Then split the grip(s) in half lengthwise. Check the fit to the blank and make any adjustments. Then just epoxy the halves to the blank, wrap wax paper around it,and wrap that with tape tightly. Let it set, remove the tape and wax paper,then sand to blend with the rest of the cork or the seat and butt cap to your liking.
