The counterfiet pen does not protect you from "washed bills." Hold each bill to the light to see that Ben Franklin is in the picture and the water mark. If you have Ben Franklin in the picture and you hold up the bill to the light and see Andrew Jackson, or George Washington, you have authentic paper, but a bleached bill that has been re-printed which the pen won't indicate. You got to look at each bill individually.
