Sorry ignore the pm I sent you. On the left side plate there is a bearing cap. Make sure its loose so the spool has some side play about a hair or so. On the right side(gear) plate make sure the bearing cap is screwed in tight. This might fix the free spool operation. On the cranking, something is binding the gear shaft. Make sure the gear washers with ears a seating in there slots properly. SS bearing are stronger but Ceramic cast smoother.
