On small black ripbaits. Specifically a Lucky Craft Humpback minnow. He said any small (5 to 7 cm) minnow will work.
I call BS,
and he preceded to catch 4 four to seven pound mullet on the 4lb. spinning gear.
.................................................. ......................I've caught them on rip baits too [lip hooked] as well as small mega baits. I'm not sure if they want to eat the bait or attack an intruder, but they bit none the less. A very game fish on light tackle, but not the best table fare.
