The simplest thing to do is to go to the CA DOJ's Firearms page Bureau of Firearms - California Dept. of Justice - Office of the Attorney General

But basically any transfer of firearms in Ca has to be through a FFL holder. If both the seller and buyer are present at the time of the sale it is a Private Party Transfer and the FFL can only charge a total of $35.

If you want to buy a long gun and have it shipped to an FFL for you to pick up, the FFL can charge whatever he likes. Plus the DROS cost.

All firearms have the ten day wait.
