| Re: Center Console, Walk Around, Cuddy, or Full?
I have had them all, As AZ says, It all depends on what you plan on using them for. Just fishing, or an all around family boat. Lets see. I had a 21' Cuddy..."piece O shit" in my opinion. No room for fishing, 3 adults and it was crowded as hell. 22' Bayrunner center consol...loved it, wish I had never sold that boat, Was a very economical boat to run. 90HP 2-stroke 27 mph average and fish all day long running hard used maybe 10-12 gal of fuel. Easy to tow, very light and roomy. 25 FG center consol, Full Tuna Tower with controls, Another boat that I wish I would have kept and vested more time and money. Miss it. And of course, the grand daddy of em all.....the 28' Skip Jack that I just sold. Best all around boat ever for function, fishibility and all around use. Comfortable, trailerable and sea worthy. Just not very economical with gas engines. But I would own another if the right one came along. I like the 25's alot. The one two adds previous is a good looking boat. I will never buy a boat with plans to do a conversion again unless it's a single eng removal and replace. It must be a diesel. I will just kick it and wait till the sellers get hungry enough to sell. It's comming. Anyway, I guess I am saying to fish for the day...CC is the way to go for economy and fishability, Over nighting....24' or above, the only models with cock pit space in my opinion but I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule. Long trips and you will appreciate that berth to catch a little nap every once in awhile.
