Redondo Halibut 2/16 and lobster 2/15 plus PV squid pics

Went out with Yutaka and Chris for a lobster dive Sunday night. Yutaka and Chris did there first dive at Palos Verdes with Yutaka catching 4 bugs and Chris with only one. The vis was bad and the surge was even worse, both of them said they were getting tossed around pretty good.

We moved to one of my deeper spots and I managed 5 lobsters on my dive. The water temp was a cold 47 degrees at 110ft.

Yutaka and Chris did a 2nd dive at the breakwall with even worse surge so they stayed deep and managed to round off there double limits.

Here is a couple of pics from last Thursday night. Me and Yutaka were heading for PV diving and decided to check out all the squid boats working the Rocky point area. One of the commercial boats called us over and said to scoop up as much as we wanted THANKS!

Today(Monday)I decided to do some halibut drifts for a few hours. I started my first drift and I knew my buddy Dan who has a slip next to mine was out fishing so I gave him a call and he said he had 3 legals from the morning but nothing else for hours and that he had a few extra peices of live squid for me so I reeled up the lines and motored over and he passed me about 12 peices of squid THANKS! I moved about 1/4 of a mile away and put the lines in. About 15min later my rod goes bendo and starts pulling some drag. I can tell this fish has some weight so I carefully reel it in and gaff a nice 23lber.
