Ryan once you remove the rub rail you will see that the deck and the hull are still screwed together. The rub rail screws are not the only ones that hold the deck to the hull. You can use the same holes. I took it one step further with my skippy and scraped all the caulking out and re caulk the deck to the hull.
I ordered my rub rail from TACO through West Marine.
